Ecological relationships

Supple stems use surrounding vegetation for support as the plant reaches brighter light, and its substantial leaves retain moisture. Mature flower stalks remain on the vine and may produce flowers again, so they should not be removed after blooming. The flowers provide nectar for visiting animals.

Care principle

Reproduce the function of the native setting rather than copying a watering calendar. Check light, temperature, root-zone air, drainage, and the plant’s current growth before acting.
